Summary (not part of the policy). We collect the information needed to run a marketplace for contract flying: your account and contact details, a pilot's professional and credential records, an operator's company information, payment details handled by our processor, and usage data. We share profile and credential information with the counterparties you deal with and with the vendors that help us verify identity, screen backgrounds, and move payments. We do not sell your personal information. You have rights to access, correct, and delete your data, described below.

This Privacy Policy explains how Jabez FL180 LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("Jabez FL180," "we," "us"), handles personal information in connection with the Jabez FL180 websites, applications, and services (the "Platform"). It applies to Pilots, Operators, their personnel, and visitors. It does not apply to information handled by other Users or by third parties operating their own services. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in our Terms of Service.

Information you provide

  • Account and identity: name, email, phone, password, mailing address, date of birth, profile photo, and account preferences.
  • Pilot professional information: airman certificate numbers and levels, type ratings and endorsements, total and category/class flight time, pilot-in-command time, currency and recency, medical certificate class and date, training and checking records, employment history, references, résumé/CV, availability, base and preferred regions, and rate information.
  • Identity and work-authorization documents: government-issued identification, passport, and, where applicable, evidence of authorization to work, provided for identity verification and eligibility checks.
  • Operator information: company name and contact details, operating certificate and authority information, aircraft and fleet details, personnel names and roles, and trip details you post.
  • Payment information: bank account or card details, billing address, and tax identification information. Card and bank details are collected and stored by our payment processor, not by us.
  • Communications and content: messages sent through the Platform, ratings and reviews, support requests, and survey or form responses.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and connection: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, identifiers, and language settings.
  • Usage: pages and screens viewed, features used, searches run, listings viewed, and timestamps.
  • Approximate location derived from IP address, and precise location only if you enable it.
  • Cookies and similar technologies as described in Section 8.

To verify identity, eligibility, and qualifications, we may collect government identifiers and information about a medical certificate. We use this information only for verification, safety, fraud prevention, and legal compliance, retain it only as long as needed for those purposes, and restrict access to it. Where your consent is required for this processing, we ask for it during onboarding, and you may withdraw consent by closing your account, though we may be unable to provide the Platform without this information.

We obtain information from you; from other Users (for example, an Operator's feedback about a Pilot, or a reference you name); from identity-verification and background-screening vendors; from public records, including the FAA Airmen Registry; from our payment processor; and from analytics and security providers.

  • create and manage accounts and profiles;
  • operate the marketplace: publish Opportunities, run searches and matching, enable messaging, and facilitate bookings and Engagements;
  • verify identity and credentials and perform background screening where permitted;
  • process payments, Platform Fees, Cancellation Deposits, and payouts, and handle tax reporting;
  • provide customer support and resolve disputes;
  • protect the Platform and Users against fraud, abuse, security incidents, and unsafe or unlawful activity;
  • send transactional and service messages, and, where permitted, marketing you can opt out of;
  • analyze usage and improve and develop features;
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
  • To other Users: when you use the Platform, we share the information a counterparty needs to evaluate and complete an Engagement. A Pilot's profile, credentials, ratings, and relevant records are shared with Operators the Pilot engages with or applies to; an Operator's trip and company information is shared with Pilots it invites or engages.
  • If you share your available days: Pilots and flight attendants who choose to share the days they are available can be found by approved Operators in their available-crew list, and may receive invitations more often. You can stop sharing at any time from your availability calendar.
  • To service providers: hosting, payment processing, identity verification, background screening, mapping, communications, analytics, and customer-support vendors that process information on our behalf under contract.
  • For legal and safety reasons: to comply with law, legal process, or government request; to enforce agreements; to protect the rights, safety, and property of Users, the public, or Jabez FL180; and to investigate fraud or security issues.
  • In corporate transactions: in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, or during due diligence for such a transaction, subject to confidentiality.
  • With your direction or consent: for any other disclosure you request or authorize.

We may also disclose aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably identify you.

We do not sell personal information for money, and we do not "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law. We have not done so in the preceding 12 months. If this changes, we will update this policy and provide any opt-out the law requires.

We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, secure the Platform, measure performance, and understand usage. Some are strictly necessary; others are optional. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and, where we offer one, through our cookie preferences tool. We may use analytics providers that set their own cookies. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where required.

We keep personal information only for as long as needed to provide the Platform or to satisfy a documented legal, tax, accounting, contractual, aviation-safety, fraud-prevention, or active-dispute obligation. We do not apply an additional blanket retention period after that purpose ends. Retention exceptions are reviewed against an expiration date. Identity and verification documents, location information, and other sensitive data are deleted or de-identified promptly when no such obligation applies.

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

Subject to applicable law and verification of your identity, you may request to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you and learn how we process it;
  • correct inaccurate information;
  • delete personal information;
  • receive a portable copy of information you provided;
  • opt out of marketing communications, and of any targeted advertising, profiling, or sale/share to the extent it applies; and
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To make a request, use Privacy & account while signed in to the web or iOS app, or email admin@jabezfl180.com. You may cancel an in-app deletion request while it is pending. An authorized agent may submit a request with proof of authorization. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision; if you remain unsatisfied, you may contact your state attorney general.

Residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have the rights described in Section 11. For the categories of personal information we collect, the sources, the business and commercial purposes for collection, and the categories of recipients, see Sections 2, 4, 5, and 6. We retain information as described in Section 9. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes beyond those permitted under California law. California's "Shine the Light" law: you may request information about disclosures to third parties for their own direct marketing; we do not make such disclosures.

The Platform is operated from the United States and is intended for users in the United States. If you access it from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

The Platform is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have done so, we will delete it.

The Platform may link to third-party sites and services we do not control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we are not responsible for them.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy with a new effective date and, for material changes, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.

This section describes how we use your mobile phone number to send text messages through the Jabez FL180 website and iOS app. The full program details, including how you opt in, are on our SMS Messaging Program page.

  • What we send. One-time verification and sign-in codes (for example, "Your Jabez FL180 sign-in code is 123456"), sent only when you ask for one by entering your mobile number to sign in, create an account, or verify a number. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages. If we add other account notices by text in the future, we will update this policy first and send them only to people who have asked for them.
  • Your consent. By entering your mobile number and requesting a code, you agree to receive that text message from Jabez FL180. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of using Jabez FL180: you can sign in with a password, with Apple or Google, or with a code sent to your email instead.
  • How often. One message for each code you request. You control how many you receive.
  • Cost. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. Jabez FL180 does not charge you for these messages.
  • Stop or get help. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts from us. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at admin@jabezfl180.com or 772-222-9712. After you reply STOP you may receive one final message confirming it, and you can still sign in another way.
  • Who handles the messages. We use a communications provider (Twilio) to deliver texts. It receives your mobile number and the message text only to deliver them to you, under contract with us.
  • No sharing for marketing. We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and text-message opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, other than the providers that deliver the messages for us.
  • Carriers. Wireless carriers and the providers they work with are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
